What can an agent do with Abacor through MCP?
It can read and search your firm's Abacor meeting record: past meetings, transcripts, summaries, action items, contacts, organisations and upcoming calendar entries, within your own Abacor permissions.
Abacor is a meeting and client-intelligence assistant built for accounting and advisory firms.
What Claude can do
Per Abacor's 1 June 2026 announcement, Claude can:
- Pull past meeting summaries, transcripts and action items.
- Search meeting history by topic or commitment.
- List upcoming meetings and whether each has a prep brief.
- Track open and overdue action items across engagements.
Good to know
- Abacor also says it returns structured insights such as decisions, risks and sentiment.
- Abacor doesn't publish a tool list or tool count. The groups below follow Abacor's description of the connector and don't name individual tools.
- In Abacor's examples, follow-up steps such as drafting an email or a document run through other connectors (Gmail, Microsoft 365, Google Docs). The Abacor connector doesn't perform them.
Can
- Read past meeting summaries, transcripts and action items
- Search meeting history by topic, phrase or commitment
- Read structured meeting insights: decisions, risks raised and sentiment (per Abacor)
- List upcoming calendar entries and show which have a prep brief
- List open, due-this-week and overdue action items across engagements, with assignees
- Look up contacts and organisations linked to meetings
Cannot
- Create, edit or complete meetings, notes or action items in Abacor (Abacor describes no write capability)
- See anything your own Abacor role can't see (per Abacor)
- Send email, post journals or change your accounting system on its own; Abacor's examples use separate connectors for those steps
What access does it get?
It gets the Abacor data you can already see. Abacor says permissions follow your existing role. It doesn't publish scope names or the sign-in method.

| Abacor MCP connector for Claude (remote) | Not documented by the vendor. Abacor says the connector respects role-based permissions, so "Claude can only see what you can see" (David Lam, Abacor CEO, on Abacor's blog, 1 June 2026; also reported by CPA Practice Advisor). | Abacor doesn't document which Abacor roles can connect. Claude Team/Enterprise: an Owner adds custom connectors before members can use them. |
How do I connect it?
Ask Abacor for the connector details. Abacor says the connector is available now to existing customers. It publishes no setup steps, server URL or directory listing.
- Confirm with Abacor that your account has the Claude connector and get the server URL from Abacor; it isn't published.
- In Claude, go to Customize › Connectors › Add custom connector and paste the URL Abacor gives you.
- Complete the Abacor sign-in that follows. Abacor doesn't document what the sign-in screen asks for.
- Team/Enterprise: an Owner adds the custom connector first; each member then authorises it individually (Abacor doesn't document the sign-in method).
We found no Abacor listing in the Claude connector directory as of 21 Oct 2026. These are Claude's standard custom-connector steps. Abacor hasn't published its own.
What should a finance team watch for?
The main gap is documentation: Abacor publishes no endpoint, auth method, scopes or limits, so confirm these with Abacor before you connect client meeting data.
- Setup, sign-in method, rate limits and the full tool list are not documented by the vendor. Ask Abacor before rolling it out to a team.
- Access mirrors each user's Abacor role, so anyone who connects gets an assistant that can read every meeting they can see. Review Abacor roles first, especially for partners and shared client lists.
- Transcripts and meeting notes are free text written by or about clients. An injected instruction in a transcript could push the agent to draft or send something through another connected tool, so keep a person approving any email, document or ledger change.
- Abacor's own examples chain its data into Gmail, QuickBooks, Xero and Microsoft 365 connectors. Those connectors can write even though Abacor reads only, so review their permissions separately.
- Abacor's privacy policy says it doesn't use customer data to train generalised models available to other customers unless the customer opts in in writing; that wording doesn't rule out customer-specific training. It doesn't address how Claude handles the data, so check Anthropic's terms too.
- Abacor's llms.txt says it is available in United States and Australia regions; it doesn't say which region the connector uses, and the privacy policy names no hosting locations. Abacor's trust center (trust.abacor.com) wasn't reachable on 21 Oct 2026, so ask Abacor for its security and subprocessor details.
How could finance teams and accounting firms use it?
Because the connector reads only, it suits questions, briefs and summaries over meeting history; any follow-up that changes another system needs a separate connector and a person's approval. Abacor says it is built for accounting firms, so the in-company uses assume the finance team itself runs Abacor.
Inside a company
- Summarise what was agreed in recent meetings with the auditor, bank or board, with the action items still open.
- List overdue action items from finance meetings before the weekly team check-in.
- Prepare for an upcoming budget or vendor meeting from past meeting notes and decisions.
- Search transcripts for when a policy or deadline was first discussed.
At an accounting firm
- Build a pre-meeting brief for a client call from recent meetings and open items.
- Run a weekly review of open and overdue commitments across engagements, with assignees.
- Write a handoff brief when a client moves to a new partner or manager.
- Draft a follow-up email from a meeting's action items, for a person to review and send through the email connector.
Whatever the use, check summaries against the transcript, and keep a person approving anything that changes a client's books or reaches a client.

FAQ
Is this official?
Yes. Abacor announced the MCP connector for Claude on its own blog and hosts it. We found no Abacor listing in the Claude connector directory as of 21 Oct 2026.
Is it free?
Abacor says it is available to existing Abacor customers and doesn't state a separate price. You also need a Claude plan that supports connectors.
Does it change data in Abacor?
Abacor describes read and search access only and no tools that create or edit Abacor data. Other connectors in the same chat can still write to their own systems.
Is my data used to train models?
Abacor's privacy policy says it doesn't use customer data to train generalised models available to other customers unless the customer opts in in writing. Check Abacor's terms and Anthropic's terms for how each handles your data.
Can my accountant use it on my behalf?
Abacor doesn't document delegated use. It says access follows each user's Abacor role, so, per Abacor, a person can only reach meetings their own Abacor access allows.
