What can an agent do with Firm360 through the Claude connector?
Through the connector, Claude.ai answers questions about a firm's WIP, realization, unbilled work, overdue invoices and engagements, within the asking user's Firm360 role. Firm360 also says Claude can draft follow-ups and send them, without documenting how.
Firm360 is practice management software for accounting firms.
What it can answer
- Its Claude page covers WIP, realization, unbilled work, overdue invoices, AR aging, engagements, project status and staff time.
- CPA Practice Advisor's launch report adds write-ups, write-downs and client-level profitability.
- Firm360 says each answer cites the Firm360 view it came from.
- Firm360 says Claude declines questions outside the connector's data instead of guessing.
Sending
- Firm360 says you can list overdue AR, draft the follow-ups and send them in one conversation. It also shows drafting internal emails.
- Firm360 doesn't document how sending works, which tools exist, or whether anything is written back to Firm360 records.
- Treat sending as possible and keep a person approving every message.
Can
- Answer questions on WIP and unbilled work across open engagements
- Report realization, write-ups and write-downs (per CPA Practice Advisor)
- List overdue invoices and AR aging; CPA Practice Advisor's example asks for invoices more than 60 days overdue
- Summarise project status and staff time
- Discuss client-level profitability (per CPA Practice Advisor)
- Draft follow-ups and internal emails, and send follow-ups from the conversation, per Firm360 (how sending works isn't documented)
- Cite the Firm360 view behind each answer, per Firm360
Cannot
- Calculate utilisation or capacity planning, per Firm360
- Read content inside workpapers or client documents, per Firm360
- Show a user more than their Firm360 role allows, per Firm360
- Firm360 documents no setup for Claude Code, ChatGPT or other MCP clients
What access does it get?
Whatever the asking user's Firm360 role allows. Firm360 says permissions inherit from existing roles and an administrator picks which roles get the connector.
| Where | Scopes and permissions (as documented) | Admin requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Firm360 Claude connector (hosted, Claude.ai) | Not documented by the vendor. Firm360 says access follows existing role-based permissions, so partners see partner views and staff see theirs, conversations are scoped to the asking user, and conversations are audit-logged. No OAuth scope names, read-only mode or tool list are published. | A Firm360 administrator turns the connector on in firm settings and chooses which roles get access, per Firm360. Claude Team: an Owner adds connectors for the organisation. Neither Firm360 nor CPA Practice Advisor mentions Claude Enterprise. |
How do I connect it?
Ask Firm360 for access, then a Firm360 administrator turns the connector on in firm settings and picks roles. There is no public URL to add yourself.
- Request access through Firm360. Its page at myfirm360.com/claude offers a demo and a 45-minute walkthrough, and says access is via a waitlist for existing Firm360 customers.
- A Firm360 administrator turns the Claude connector on in firm settings (Firm360 labels this step "Authorize") and selects which roles get access. Firm360 says this takes under five minutes.
- Users with an enabled role open Claude.ai and ask questions about WIP, realization, overdue invoices or engagements.
- Claude Team: an Owner may also need to allow the connector for the organisation before members can use it. Neither source mentions Claude Enterprise.
Not in Claude's connector directory as of 21 Oct 2026, and Firm360 doesn't publish a URL for Customize › Connectors › Add custom connector.
What should a finance team watch for?
Access is gated by a waitlist and Firm360 publishes few technical details. Firm360 says follow-ups can be sent from the chat, so confirm auth, sending and logging with Firm360 before rollout.
- Availability: waitlist for existing customers from May 2026, per Firm360; CPA Practice Advisor describes a limited beta cohort on Claude.ai Pro or Team. No pricing is published.
- Least privilege: the role picker is the control Firm360 documents. Enable only the roles that need it, and check what partner-level roles can see before turning them on.
- Sending is claimed but undocumented. Firm360 says follow-ups can be drafted and sent from the conversation, but doesn't say how sending works or whether anything changes in Firm360. Keep a person approving every message before it goes out.
- Engagement notes and invoice text can come back as free text. An injected instruction there could push Claude to draft or send something unintended, so have a person approve every send.
- Coverage gaps: no utilisation or capacity planning, and no workpaper or client-document content, per Firm360.
- Data handling, per Firm360: conversations are audit-logged and never used to train models, Anthropic doesn't train on firm data, and Firm360 is SOC 2 Type II. Firm360 says firm data stays in Firm360 and is exposed to Claude only at query time, so the data returned for each query is processed by Anthropic under your Claude plan's terms. Firm360 cites Anthropic's SOC 2 for the Claude.ai consumer and Team products. Check Firm360's and Anthropic's terms yourself.
How could finance teams and accounting firms use it?
Firm360 is built for accounting firms, so the documented uses are firm-management questions answered from live practice data, with a person approving any message before it is sent.
Inside a company
- For an in-house team that runs work in Firm360, ask which projects are behind and how staff time is tracking.
- Check unbilled work before month-end so billing can be raised on time.
- Get a list of overdue receivables to review before chasing them.
At an accounting firm
- Ask for current WIP across open engagements, an example CPA Practice Advisor gives.
- Review realization and write-downs by client ahead of a pricing discussion.
- List clients with invoices more than 60 days overdue (CPA Practice Advisor's example) and draft follow-ups for a partner to edit and approve before sending.
- Spot stalled engagements before a weekly partner meeting, using project status and staff time.
Whatever the use, keep a person approving anything sent to a client or changed in Firm360, and treat AI-produced figures as drafts until they tie to the cited Firm360 view.

FAQ
Is this official?
Yes. Firm360 runs the connector and documents it on its own site. Zapier separately runs a third-party Firm360 app on Zapier MCP, with client and project actions.
Is it free?
Firm360 doesn't publish a price. It says the connector is available to existing customers via a waitlist; CPA Practice Advisor says it needs an active Firm360 subscription and Claude.ai Pro or Team.
Does it change data in Firm360?
Firm360 says Claude can draft follow-ups and send them in the same conversation, but it doesn't document how sending works or whether anything is written back to Firm360 records. Keep a person approving every message, and ask Firm360 before relying on it either way.
Is my data used to train models?
Firm360 says conversations are never used to train models and that Anthropic doesn't train on your firm's data. The data returned for each query goes to Claude, so check Firm360's and Anthropic's terms for your plan before connecting.
Can my accountant use it on my behalf?
Firm360 is software accounting firms run, so the users are the firm's own staff. Firm360 says each user sees only what their role allows; it doesn't document access for a firm's clients.
